New Explosions Knock Out Power in Parts of Baghdad
Sat March 22, 2003 03:48 PM ET
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Fresh explosions rocked Baghdad shortly before midnight on Saturday and large parts of the capital were plunged into darkness, a Reuters witness said.

In three days of aerial bombardment by U.S. and British forces, power supplies had previously remained unscathed.

Several sites in the Iraqi capital were hit by explosions earlier on Saturday.
